Laugh Out to Help Out

We have exciting news – the BaCStage Raffle is back! As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’re also going to some acting either side of it*!

This will be our first outing since our last planned raffle-plus-acting combo was covid-cancelled over a year ago. We will be back at Bluntisham Village Hall later this month with Laugh Out to Help Out, an evening of comedy sketches, poetry and song – a homage to our favourite comedians and writers.

With Covid restrictions easing, vaccines doing their thing and people generally trying to figure out what the new normal will look like, we felt the time was right to coax our actors back onto the stage (like they need much coaxing – Ed). Some of them, it is fair to say, have let themselves go a bit over the past year and a half, but we’ll make sure they’re all scrubbed up nicely before we release them back into the wild.

First post-lockdown BaCStage meeting

Laugh Out to Help Out performances are at 7.30 pm on Friday and Saturday, 22 and 23 October. Tickets cost £5 and are on sale now from TicketSource.

Seating will be unreserved cabaret style and hand sanitiser will be provided. Please bring your own drinks and refreshments. A maximum of 50 tickets will be sold for each performance (down from our usual maximum of 80) so there will be plenty of space for everyone. We hope to see you there!

* Actors tend to refuse to donate raffle prizes unless we let them perform; you could say they “act up” a bit.
